Armed Forces of Ukraine continue offensive on two sections of front, on fifth - they hold defense, - General Staff
Ukrainian troops are repelling enemy attacks in the Kupшansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka directions. Over the last day, 26 combat engagements took place.
This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged.
The enemy maintains a military presence in the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions. It carried out air strikes in the areas of Veterynarne and Hraniv in the Kharkiv region. It carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements, including Semenivka in the Chernihiv region; Vilna Sloboda, Svarkove, Stepne, Basivka, Mohrytsia, Pokrovka, and Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region; and Huriiv Kozachok, Hraniv, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, our troops are holding steadfastly. The enemy launched an air strike near Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. Krasne Pervoe, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area south of Dibrova, Luhansk region. It carried out air strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Serebryanka, Spirne, and Kuzminivka in the Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevske, Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka, Donetsk region, came under artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas east of Stupochky and near Diliivka. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Klishchiivka, Predtechyne, and Diliivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, and Pivdenne in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the Avdiivka area. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 10 localities, including Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Lastochkine, Vodiane, and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Mariupol direction, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the vicinity of the town of Mariinka. The enemy launched air strikes near Nevelske and Krasnohorivka. The localities of Krasnohorivka, Maksymilianivka, and Heorhiivka in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Zolota Nyva, and Makarivka in the Donetsk region. They shelled more than 10 localities, including Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing further advance of our troops. It carried out air strikes in the areas of Novodarivka, Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhove in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 30 settlements came under artillery fire, including Novoandriivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Stepove, Lobkove, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region; Dudchany, Beryslav, Kozatske, Molodizhne, Antonivka, Komyshany, Kizomys, Stanislav in the Kherson region. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating their positions.
