General Prosecutor’s Office approved new plan to fight illegal amber mining

The General Prosecutor's Office held a meeting on countering illegal mining and trade of amber.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office.

The meeting was held in pursuance of the order of president Petro Poroshenko.

"The meeting participants noted that the prosecutor's office and law enforcement agencies of the Volyn, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions have taken steps to prevent and detect criminal amber mining and trade, but they were insufficient", the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office concluded.

A plan to fight illegal amber mining and trade, as well as to detect, suppress and investigate criminal offenses of this kind was approved at the meeting.
