Russian invaders are focusing their main efforts on preventing the further advance of the AFU in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Over the past day, 44 combat engagements took place.
This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Volfyne, Stepne in the Sumy region, and Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region. It fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 25 settlements, including Senkivka, Karpovychi, Novovasylivka in Chernihiv region; Volfyne, Krasnopillia, Rozhkovychi, Stara Huta, Hrabovske in the Sumy region; and Tymofiivka, Vetaryne, Okhrimivka, Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Kyslivka. Kamianka, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Novomlynsk, Fiholivka, Kindrashivka, Krasne Pershe, and Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Serebrianka and Spirne in the Donetsk region. Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, and Torske in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground west of Kurdiumivka, south of Andriivka, and west of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. The occupiers carried out air strikes in the areas of Fedorivka, Mayske, Druzhba, and New York. More than 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bila Hora, Chasiv Yar, and Ivanivske in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Avdiivka. Novokalynove, Stepove, Berdychi, Lastochkine, Avdiivka and Pervomayske in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In the Mariinka direction, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the area of Mariinka. The enemy fired at Krasnohorivka, Oleksandropil, Hostre, Mariinka, Paraskoviivka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Staromayorsk and Makarivka. It made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground west of Staromayorsk and north of Urozhayne. More than 15 localities came under artillery fire, including Vuhledar, Vodyane, Blahodatne, Storozheve, Rivne, and Zelene Pole in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing further advance of our troops. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Huliaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and Pyatikhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 15 settlements came under artillery fire, including Novodarivka, Bilohirya, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Pyatikhatky, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Odradokamyanka and Antonivka. More than 20 localities came under artillery fire, including Vesele, Dudchany, Dniprovske, Tyahyntsi, Lvove, Kizomys, and the city of Kherson.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery operations.
