Currently, Ukraine is afloat thanks to the financial support of partners, grants and loans.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the conference of ambassadors of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.

"Actually, the support of the Armed Forces and the war costs Ukraine about 2 trillion hryvnias. This is more than the revenue part of the peacetime budget," the head of government said.

According to him, in peacetime, the revenue part of Ukraine's budget amounted to 1.3 trillion hryvnias. Currently, the state survives thanks to the financial support of partners, as well as grants and loans.

"We lost about 30% of our economy and businesses. We lost 3.5 million jobs. In the first year of the war, we lost 29.5% of our GDP.
This is less than expected. The business has adapted and continues to adapt. This year, we expect even a slight increase compared to last year," Shmyhal added.

The Prime Minister noted that it was also possible to increase gold and foreign exchange reserves to a historical maximum for the entire time of Ukraine's independence.

"Today, the National Bank has 39 billion hryvnias as balances. We have reduced the inflation rate to 12.8% in annual terms this year. You understand what inflation is in your countries, you can compare," he concluded.
