Ukraine may receive more Caesar self-propelled gun: France has tripled production, - Vice President of Defence Industry Association Chamoussi

France has tripled the production of Caesar self-propelled artillery systems and Ukraine may receive more of these howitzers.
Nicolas Chamussey, Vice President of the French Defence Industry Association, said this at the Defence Industries Forum, Censor.NET reports citing Suspilne.
"We have supplied Ukraine with various weapons systems, spare parts and trained Ukrainian soldiers in the maintenance and repair of our systems. Now we continue to send spare parts. So this forum is about understanding what to do next in terms of local production," he said.
Chamoussi noted that he had signed an agreement with the Defence Procurement Agency of Ukraine. Under the agreement, all French and Ukrainian companies can sign individual agreements.
"We have signed more than 10 separate agreements with private and state-owned defence companies in Ukraine for the joint production of ammunition, drones and other weapons. And also for cooperation in cyber security," said the Nexter Group CEO.
He also noted that Ukraine could receive more Caesar air defence systems.
"Caesar is very powerful and adapted for use by your military. Therefore, I assume that there will be more deliveries of Caesar. We have introduced fundamental changes in the industrial process to increase production capabilities. Since the beginning of the war, we have tripled the production of Caesar and doubled the production of ammunition. Our common goal is to help Ukraine," said Shamusi.
