Enemy is trying to restore lost position in areas of Novodarivka and Verbove of Zaporizhzhia region, AFU continue their offensive in Melitopol direction, - General Staff
Ukraine’s defense forces continue to conduct the defense in eastern and southern Ukraine, an offensive operation in the Melitopol sector and offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, liberating the temporarily occupied territories step by step, and consolidating their positions.
This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
Over the past day, 38 combat engagements took place. Over 150 localities in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
Air strikes were carried out in Ivanivka, Kharkiv region; Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Nove, Terny, Spirne, Vyiimka, Vesele, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kostiantynivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhayne, Staromayorske, Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region; Beryslav, Kozatske, Olhivka and Vysoke, Kherson region.
The operational situation in the area of responsibility of the OSGT "North" in the Volyn and Polissia direction remains without significant changes.
In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions in the area of responsibility of the OSGT "Khortytsia" in the Kupiansk direction.
In the Lyman direction, the AFU repelled enemy attacks near Makiivka, Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain its lost ground near Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the area of responsibility of the OSGT "Tavria" in the Avdiivka direction, the enemy tried to regain its lost position near Avdiivka, Donetsk region but was unsuccessful. In addition, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Pervomaisk in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out 11 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the militants unsuccessfully attacked near Staromayorske in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the enemy tried to regain its lost ground in the areas of Novodarivka and Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region but was unsuccessful.
The Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut direction, inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, continue to consolidate their positions, and exhaust the enemy.
In the area of responsibility of the OSGT "Odesa" in the Kherson direction, the Defence Forces are conducting counter-battery combat, destroying supply depots and successfully striking at the enemy's rear.
