SAPO asks Higher Anti-Corruption Court to remove from post of mayor of Sumy Lysenko, who was detained for bribe of 2.13 million UAH

On October 9, 2023, the SAPO prosecutor filed a motion with the High Anti-Corruption Court to remove from his post the mayor of Sumy, who, together with the director of the Infrastructure Department of the Sumy region, was exposed for soliciting and receiving an illegal benefit in a particularly large amount - 2,130,000 hryvnias.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the SAPO.

As noted, consideration of the specified petition will be notified additionally.

The SAPO reminds that on October 3, 2023, the SAPO and NABU informed the Sumy mayor and the director of the Infrastructure Department of the Sumy region about the suspicion. Their actions are qualified under Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
