Canada will provide $25 million in aid to Ukraine, which will include winter clothing and equipment, as well as another military aid package, including artillery shells, ammunition and aerial bombs.

This was announced by the Minister of National Defence of Canada Bill Blair, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

The minister said this during the 16th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence in Brussels.

"At the meeting, Minister Blair announced that Canada would donate winter clothing and equipment worth $25 million to Ukraine. The package includes boots, thermal underwear and winter sleeping bags, as well as pixelated military uniforms for 2,000 female soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which will be produced in Canada. This donation is funded by a $500 million tranche of military assistance to Ukraine announced by Prime Minister Trudeau in June 2023," the Canadian government said in a statement.

Minister Blair also announced that Canada will provide the next new package of donations from the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) stockpile. This includes 2,000 additional 155mm rounds; smoke munitions, including 955 155mm rounds and over 2,000 81mm mortar rounds; 2,260 gas masks; 277 1,000lb aerial bombs and detonators; and various types of 76mm naval munitions.

The Minister also noted that last week, the previously announced military aid was delivered - almost 8,000 155mm shells, 10,000 105mm shells and about 2 million rounds of ammunition for 7.62mm small arms.
