Within a few weeks, the fourth-generation F-16 fighter jets that will be used to train Ukrainian pilots will be delivered to a new training centre in Romania.

This was stated by the Minister of Defence of the Netherlands, Keesa Ollongren, Censor.NET reports citing NL Times.

She noted that the establishment of a training centre in Romania is "going very well".

"We hope to hand over 12 to 18 aircraft to Romania within a few weeks, which means that the centre can start its work," Ollongren added.

She did not specify when her country would hand over the first F-16s to Ukraine, but reminded that it was 24 fighters, the rest of which would be used for training purposes.
