Putin’s visit to China did not create furore, nothing has changed in Xi’s position - Defence Intelligence of Ukraine

A representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said during a national TV marathon that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s visit to China "did not create a furore" and that China’s position on Russia’s war against Ukraine has not changed.
"It is clear that Putin's visit did not create a furore. Ukraine is closely monitoring this, and not only Ukraine, because a person who is reasonably suspected of committing war crimes and will soon be in the dock at an international tribunal is making some attempts at international travel, and this should be monitored," he said, Censor.NET reports citing LigaBusinessInform.
According to Yusov, as for China's support for Russia in the war against Ukraine, "nothing has changed".
The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine noted that China continues to hold a separate position.
"This is an attempt to build a role of mediator in the future. This does not imply any direct military support. We do not have any new information on this, but Putin does," Yusov added.
On 17 October, Putin arrived in China. This is the first time the Russian dictator has travelled outside the former Soviet Union since the ICC issued an arrest warrant for him on 17 March for war crimes in Ukraine. Almost a week ago, Putin visited Kyrgyzstan.
