Zelensky: War in Middle East reduces attention to Ukraine, one of Russia’s goals
President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the war in the Middle East is reducing the focus on Ukraine, which is one of the goals of the Russian Federation.
He said this during a conversation with the media together with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"As for the Middle East. I will answer you: of course, this is understandable, the war in the Middle East, this conflict takes away the focus. I believe that this was one of the goals of the Russian Federation. Now, realising that the focus is off Ukraine, let's just say the focus on Ukraine will be reduced. And this is a fact. And we see it in the results. But everything is in our power, we have already been in difficult situations. We have already been in very difficult situations when there was almost no focus on Ukraine. It was from the media, but it was not from the world leaders, but we managed to get out of this situation. Therefore, I am absolutely sure that we will overcome this challenge," Zelensky said.
