Russian troops unsuccessfully advanced in 7 directions, - General Staff of Armed Forces
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. Russian troops unsuccessfully advanced in 7 directions, 59 combat clashes took place.
This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. More than 10 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Stepok, Boiaro-Lezhachi, Mykolaivka, Seredyna Buda of the Sumy region; Udy, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out assault operations in the areas of Synkivka, northeast of Petropavlivka, Ivanivka of the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka of the Luhansk region, where our soldiers repelled 7 attacks. The enemy launched an airstrike near Petropavlivka of the Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements, in particular, Kamianka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka of the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, conducted unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Novoiehorivka and Serebryanskyi forestry of the Luhansk region. It carried out airstrikes in the areas of Chervonyi Stav of the Kharkiv region; Siversk, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne of the Donetsk region.More than 10 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling by the occupiers, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders repelled 10 attacks by the occupiers in the Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka districts of the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, in particular, Markove, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Ivanivske of the Donetsk region came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out assault operations east of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sevierne, south of Tonenke of the Donetsk region. Here, the Defense Forces repelled 21 attacks. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Keramik, Berdychi, and Avdiivka. About 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Lastochkyne, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, conducted unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled more than 13 enemy attacks. About 10 settlements came under the artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers, in particular, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the invaders, with the support of aviation, conducted unsuccessful assaults near Staromaiorske of the Donetsk region. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the areas of Urozhaine and Storozhove of the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, in particular, Vodiane, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Prechystivka, Urozhaine of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out assault operations near Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia region, without success. It carried out an airstrike in the Novodanilivka area of the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, in particular, Malynivka, Poltavka, Huliaipole, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaki, Piatykhatky of the Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy launched an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Ivanivka of the Kherson region. Antonivka, Komyshany, and Sofiivka of the Kherson region were hit by artillery fire.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut sector, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. Air defense also destroyed 5 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and one Kh-59 guided air missile.
Units of missile forces hit 8 artillery pieces, a control post, 3 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an air defense system and 4 enemy electronic warfare stations.
