Pentagon on Austin’s visit to Ukraine: They will discuss provision of Ukrainian army for winter period
During his visit to Kyiv, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin will hold high-level talks with the Ukrainian leadership. The parties will discuss partnerships between the countries and military assistance to the Armed Forces.
This was announced by the US Ministry of Defense in its press release, Censor.NET informs with reference to "European Pravda".
The Pentagon also noted that during the visit, Austin will emphasize the US's commitment to providing Ukraine with the security assistance it needs to defend against Russian aggression, as well as discuss the long-term vision for the future of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Discussions will focus on further strengthening the strategic partnership between the United States and Ukraine, including providing the Ukrainian armed forces with the necessary combat capabilities both for the winter period and to protect their country from future Russian threats," the message reads.
Also remind, on November 20, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, arrived on an unannounced visit to Kyiv and plans to meet with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities.
