"It has been the 635th day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against our state. The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. During the day, 54 combat clashes took place.
The enemy carried out 3 air strikes, carried out 12 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of settlements of Kostobobriv of the Chernihiv region and Seredyna Buda of the Sumy region. About 20 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Tymonovychi, Karpovychi, Hremiach of the Chernihiv region; Veselivka, Kostiantynivka, Volfine, Khodyne of the Sumy region; Chervona Zoria, Pletenivka, Zemlianky, Budarky of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the areas of Synkivka and east of Petropavlivka of the Kharkiv region, where the Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks. More than 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove of the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations. They fired artillery and mortars at about 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Torske, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Klishchiivka, Andriivka and east of the Pivdenne of the Donetsk region, where our soldiers repelled 19 attacks. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy led unsuccessful offensive actions east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka of the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 7 attacks. More than 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Marinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks. About 10 settlements came under the artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers, in particular, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults west of Staromaiorske of the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 2 attacks. About 10 settlements, in particular, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Robotyne and the north-west of Verbove of the Zaporizhzhya region. Artillery and mortar shelling were hit by more than 20 settlements, among them Poltavka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaki, Kamianske of the Zaporizhia region; Nikopol of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In the Kherson direction, such settlements as Sofiivka of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson were subjected to artillery shelling of the enemy.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut sector, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line. The Defense Forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnieper of the Kherson region. They continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.
During the day, the aircraft of the Defense Forces carried out 2 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel," the General Staff reported.
