Court chose detention as measure of restraint for People’s Deputy from "Servant of the People" Odarchenko

The High Anti-Corruption Court today, November 22, chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention, but with the possibility of bail for the People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the "Servant of the People" Andrii Odarchenko.

As Censor.NET informs, this was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

The report reads: "On November 22, 2023, at the request of the SAPO prosecutor, the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a measure of restraint for a people's deputy who was exposed for providing an unlawful benefit to the head of the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

The court granted the motion of the NABU detectives, approved by the Acting Prosecutor General, and imposed a preventive measure in the form of detention on the suspect with an alternative of UAH 15 million bail and imposing procedural obligations in case of bail.

The term of detention is 2 months. In pursuance of the court's decision, the suspect was taken into custody in the courtroom."

According to Censor.NET journalist Tetiana Nikolaienko, Odarchenko discussed with Naiiem the question: "Does the budget committee need to be given something?"

She goes on to post remarks from their dialogue:

- I'm afraid myself. I even go to Davyd with this broken record.

- Is David also au fait?

"Davyd, he's a smart-#ss. I don't know myself. But I was told to stop this broken record. I am in the anti-corruption committee, if I get caught, then afterwards there will be no mood, no happiness, nothing.

Earlier it was reported that the "Servant of the People" Odarchenko offered $50 thousand in bitcoins to the head of the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure Naiiem.
