Militants shell Hranitne and Starohnativka with 152-mm SPGs and 122-mm mortars, - Mariupol Defense HQ
Six cases of shelling of the Ukrainian army positions took place in the M sector on July 29.
This was announced by Mariupol Defense HQ, Censor.NET reports.
"The shelling was conducted in the evening. Hranitne positions were fired at by a tank. Starohnativka positions were shelled twice with a 152-mm RPG and a tank. In the village of Tavriiske, Ukrainian positions were hit with small arms, the same as near Mykolaivka and Chermalyk," the message reads.
"The enemy is active today as well. After midnight, Russian mercenaries conducted seven cases of shelling the Ukrainian positions near Starohnativka. The fire was conducted from Novolaspa direction. The enemy used Minsk-banned 122-mm RPGs for four times, and 120-mm mortars for three times. No one has been hurt as a result. ATO forces remain on their positions and follow the situation," the HQ added.
Shelling in the M sector has been renewed after a period of relative cease-fire, M sector press officer Yaroslav Chepurnyi said on air of 112 Ukraine TV.
