Presidents of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland refuse to take photos with Lukashenko at Dubai summit

Presidents Nausėda of Lithuania, Rinkēvičius of Latvia and Duda of Poland boycotted a joint photo at the United Nations (UN) climate change meeting COP28 on Friday. They did not want to be in the photo with Alexander Lukashenko, who seized power in Belarus.
As Censor.NET reports this with reference to LRT.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda opposed any photos with Lukashenko.
"It was hypocritical to stand shoulder to shoulder with the head of the state that became a springboard for Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and to discuss the future of the world and climate change as if nothing was wrong," he said.
The Lithuanian leader also stressed that the Belarusian regime is contributing to the destruction of the future world and, together with Russia, is responsible for what is happening in Ukraine - from the deaths of people to the catastrophic impact on the environment.
"This is called a family photo. Lukashenko does not belong to the family we want to belong to," the Lithuanian president added.
The presidents of Latvia and Poland, Edgars Rinkēvičs and Andrzej Duda, also refused to be present at the photo.
