High Council of Justice agrees to detain judges of Kyiv Court of Appeal caught on bribery - SAPO

On December 4, 2023, the High Council of Justice granted the motion of the head of the SAPO to grant consent to the detention of four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who were caught the day before receiving an undue benefit of USD 35 thousand. The judges were caught receiving an undue benefit for USD 35 thousand for deciding to cancel the seizure of property.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SAPO press center.

As noted, the High Council of Justice found the arguments of the petition to be substantiated and agreed to keep the above judges in custody.

It is also recalled that on November 30, 2023, SAPO prosecutors, on behalf of the Head of the SAPO, served four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal with a notice of suspicion.

The actions of the suspects are classified under Part 3 Article 28, Part 4 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported, four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal were detained for bribery in the Motor Sich case. Censor.NET also reported that four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal who were caught on bribery were served with a notice of suspicion.
