Law enforcement officers are investigating legality of people’s deputy Bort’s travel abroad
On October 27, 2023, the Prosecutor General entered information into the EDPR and started a pre-trial investigation into the fact of official forgery by a People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the IX convocation (Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the investigation, the people's elected representative traveled abroad twice, allegedly for the purpose of a business trip to a European Union country in April and July 2023.
Currently, in the criminal proceedings, investigative actions are ongoing to establish the facts of the people's deputy of Ukraine's stay abroad in various countries of the world outside the limits of his business trips. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the SSU and SBI under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The Prosecutor General's Office does not disclose the surnames of the People's Deputies, but earlier Censor.NET reported that Vitalii Bort, People's Deputy from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth of Independent States, in April and July 2023, went abroad on a three-day business trip with the approval of the Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk, but both times he did not return on time and remained outside Ukraine for another month.
