Russian Federation agreed to release six more Ukrainian children and allow them to reunite with their families in Ukraine after Qatar’s involvement.
As Censor.NET informs, this was reported by The Washington Post with reference to the statement of the Minister of State of Qatar for International Cooperation Lolwa Al-Khater.
Also, according to an official briefed on the operation, the group of six is scheduled to leave Moscow on Tuesday and travel to Ukraine via Belarus. The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, added that the mother of one 11-year-old boy from this group is a Ukrainian soldier who is being held as a prisoner of war in Russia.
For her part, Al-Khater noted that "based on the dynamics of recent weeks, Qatar continues to play the role of mediator between the Ukrainian and Russian governments, successfully facilitating the reunification of six more Ukrainian children with their families before the festive holidays."
