Umerov and Austin met at Pentagon "behind closed doors"

Defense Ministers of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov and US Lloyd Austin held bilateral discussions at the Pentagon. The meeting took place behind closed doors.
This was reported by the Pentagon, Censor.NET reports.
Before the closed-door discussions began, Austin publicly confirmed that the United States supports Ukraine.
"Ukraine has returned more than half of the territory captured by Russia since the beginning of its unprovoked invasion in February 2022. So we will support Ukraine for a long time. I am sure that our allies and partners will too," the head of the Pentagon said.
The US Department of Defense emphasized that today's bilateral discussion was based on conversations that took place last month in Kyiv. It included Ukraine's strategic goals for the next year and long-term planning.
Austin also announced the 52nd withdrawal of equipment from the US stockpile.
According to him, the aid package includes additional ammunition, artillery, tank weapons, and ammunition for small arms.
Earlier on Wednesday, the United States announced a military aid package worth $175 million to Ukraine.
