Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi confirmed that listening devices were found in one of his offices.
This was reported by Censor.NET with the reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"Let me tell you this: this is the room I was supposed to use today. Yesterday, during the inspection was found (wiretapping. - Ed.) in it, "Said Zaluzhnyi.
He also confirmed that this office was not his permanent location.
"I have a few places where I work. And so in one of them it happened. I haven't been there in a while. But we checked and found (wiretapping. - Ed.), "- said the commander in chief and added that the wiretap was found not only in his place.
When asked whether this could mean that in the General Staff itself someone could have done something similar, he said: "No, we have not been working with ears for a long time."
Zaluzhnyi himself regards this incident "as a war."
"Anything can be. The investigation will prove what it was, "says the commander-in-chief.
He also said that he was supposed to come to this office today at 07:00 a.m. in the morning. And he entered there after checking.
When asked whether information constituting a state secret could be voiced there, he said the following:
"This room has been used before. But the break was quite significant. Therefore, it's just already for my meeting, apparently, they were preparing. "
Earlier it was reported that criminal proceedings were opened upon the discovery of a technical device in one of the potential locations of Zaluzhnyi. The General Staff informed that listening devices were found in the offices of Zaluzhnyi and employees of the Apparatus for ensuring his activities.
