Repulsed enemy attacks in 4 directions, during the day - 64 clashes, - General Staff
The Russian Federation continues to ignore the laws and customs of warfare, uses terror tactics, launches missile and air strikes, and fires multiple rocket launchers not only at military but also at numerous civilian targets in our country.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the General Staff.
As noted, 64 combat engagements took place over the past day. In total, the enemy launched 1 missile and 113 air strikes, fired 84 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential, other civilian and industrial infrastructure was destroyed and damaged.
The General Staff also reminds that at night, Russian occupants attacked Ukraine once again, using 35 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Air defence destroyed all enemy Shaheds.
The following were hit by air strikes: Korenek in Sumy region; Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv region; Serebryansky forestry in Luhansk region; Spirne, Terny, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Marinka, Georgiivka, Staromaiorske, Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region; Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
About 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
The operational situation in the area of responsibility of the JFO "North" in the Volyn and Polesia sectors remains without significant changes.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
According to the General Staff, in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Joint Forces Operation in the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks near Synkivka and on the east of Petropavlivka in Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of our troops.
The occupiers did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions in the Lyman sector.
In the Bakhmut sector, our troops repelled 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Brigade in the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to surround Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the defence, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, over the past day, the Defence Forces repelled four enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 19 attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region.
The occupiers did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions in the Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three enemy attacks near Robotino, Zaporizhzhia region.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Joint Forces Operation Centre in the Kherson sector, Ukrainian troops continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions. Thus, the enemy made 19 unsuccessful assault attempts over the last day.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire frontline.
Over the past day, our aviation struck 13 areas of enemy concentration.
The missile troops hit the area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 6 artillery systems, 3 air defence systems and the enemy's control centre.
