Missile attack on Kyiv: Air defense forces destroyed all enemy "Shaheds," more than 60 cruise missiles and 10 missiles X-47M2 "Kinzhal," - KMVA
Russian invaders attacked the capital in the morning of 2 January. The air raid lasted almost 6 hours. The air defence forces destroyed all enemy drones, more than 60 X-101/X555X-55 cruise missiles and 10 "Kinzhals".
This was announced by the head of the KIAA Serhiy Popko, Censor.NET reports.
"Another powerful massive attack on Kyiv. The second in a row with the use of a large arsenal of air weapons. The air raid lasted almost 6 hours in total. First, the enemy launched about a dozen barrage munitions of the Shahed type at the capital of Ukraine. After that, more than a dozen Tu-95MS strategic bombers launched X-101/X555X-55 cruise missiles in groups and waves.
At the same time as the missiles were fired at Kyiv, more than ten Mig-31K aircraft launched X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles at the capital. The air defence forces and means destroyed all Shahed UAVs and more than 6 dozen X-101/X555X-55 missiles and a dozen X-47M2 Kinzhal missiles (the type and number will be finalised by the Air Force). Unfortunately, as a result of such a massive missile attack, the capital's residential buildings were destroyed and infrastructure damaged. There are victims. The consequences in the Solomenskyi district are particularly terrible. Multistory residential buildings caught fire there. The fire trapped people on the floors. The State Emergency Service was unblocking and evacuating people. Preliminarily, more than 25 people have been identified. This data is still being updated," the statement said.
In addition, the KIAA reported on the consequences of the missile attack in other districts: a supermarket in Desnianskyi district is on fire; non-residential premises in Darnytskyi district were damaged; debris fell in an open area in Holosiivskyi district; in Pecherskyi district, on the roof of a nine-storey residential building; another multi-storey building and a private house.
In Obolon district, a residential building caught fire, and the remains fell on the territory of non-residential buildings and warehouses.
In Sviatoshynskyi district - on a non-residential building. In Podilskyi district, there was a fire on the territory of the market; a gas pipe and water supply lines were damaged and about 6 cars caught fire; and the remains fell on non-residential buildings. There is also a possibility of a residential building catching fire. The information is being verified. Shevchenkivskyi district - debris fell on an open area.

"The ruscists are throwing massive forces at Kyiv. They are trying to destroy the capital by all means, to kill as many civilians as possible. But even such powerful strikes will not bring them results. Despite all the pain of the victims and destruction, we remain courageous and strong. We believe in our air defence. We believe in our Armed Forces. And we believe in our Victory!" added the KMVA.
