Defense forces repelled attacks in 4 directions, improved tactical position near Novobakhmutivka and advanced near Verbove, - General Staff

Over the past day, 57 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy launched 89 missile and 72 air strikes, including with Shahed-136/131 drones, and fired 48 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks resulted in the deaths and over 130 wounded civilians, including children. More than 100 private residential and apartment buildings, other civilian and industrial infrastructure in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions were destroyed and damaged.
Aviation strikes hit Bilohorivka and Serebryansky forestry in Luhansk region; Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Heorhiivka in Donetsk region; Novodanylivka and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region.
About 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
The operational situation in the area of responsibility of the "North" JFO in the Volyn and Polesia sectors remains without significant changes.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
According to the General Staff, in the area of responsibility of the "Khortytsia" Joint Forces Operation in the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks near Synkivka and east of Petropavlivka in Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Lyman sector, the occupants did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Bakhmut sector, our soldiers repelled 6 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the area of responsibility of the "Tavria" Brigade in the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to surround Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, the Defense Forces repelled 8 enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Berdychiv, Avdiivka and another 16 attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region over the past day. Our defenders improved their tactical position on the southeast of Novobakhmutivka.
In the Marinka and Shakhtarsk sectors, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack near Robotino in the Zaporizhzhia region. In the area of Verbove, our troops advanced, forcing the enemy to abandon some positions.
In the area of responsibility of the JFO "Odesa" in the Kherson sector, the Defense Forces continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the occupants do not give up trying to drive our units from their positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy carried out 9 unsuccessful assault operations.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 12 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
The missile troops destroyed 2 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 3 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2 control centers, an artillery system, a radar system and an enemy fuel and lubricant depot.
