There will be no war in Romania because we have security guarantees - Defense Minister Tilvar
Romanian Defense Minister Angel Tilvar denied that there would be a war on his country’s territory, as Romania has security guarantees.

When asked if there would be a war in Romania, the defense minister answered in the negative, explaining that "we have security guarantees that Romania has never had before."
"On the other hand, I think we are doing the right thing both politically and militarily to prevent this. And it is no coincidence that I said this from a political point of view, because Romania, with its important attributes of political stability and predictability, has created a level of trust among our allies that would allow us, on the one hand, to contribute to collective defense, and on the other hand, to receive support and attention for the security of Romanian citizens and security of Romania," the minister explained.
Tilvar also noted that after a "difficult year" in terms of security, the year that has just begun will bring new "challenges."
"There are things related to the consequences of the unprovoked and illegal invasion that Russia carried out against Ukraine, and Romania, as part of the strongest military and political alliance, has contributed to maintaining stability and peace in the region, as well as in our country," he concluded.
