Ruscists have doubled number of attacks in Tavria direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces take about 30 occupants prisoners every week – Defense Forces
This was announced on the air of the telethon by the spokesman for the joint press center of the Tavria Defense Forces, Colonel Oleksandr Stupun, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"There was a slight decrease in the number of attacks until the day before yesterday, it was kept at the level of up to 30, and the day before yesterday the enemy doubled the number of combat engagements. The day before yesterday it was over 50, today it is 47. The enemy continues active infantry attacks with the support of armored vehicles and continues to try to encircle Avdiivka. Over the last day 16 attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka were repelled, as well as the same number of attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske," noted Stupun.
Despite the increase in air attacks by the invaders, the Ukrainian military is holding its ground.
The spokesman also said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces take about 30 occupants prisoner every week.
"They surrender every week. In different ways, but about 30 people in the operational area of the Tavria OSG (operational-strategic group) surrendered. The conditions are different: some are released under the "I want to live" program, but most are captured in battle, and it is not always a tough battle," said Stupun.
According to him, the enemy has intensified its activities in almost all frontline areas except Shakhtarsk.
"But we see everywhere that the enemy is preparing, pulling up reserves, trying to train them. But suffering such huge losses in our operational area - 400-500 people a day - the reserves he is pulling up are almost worn out," the spokesman added.
