Ukraine and Lithuania are unlucky to have inadequate neighbour. Task is to snatch peace from Russia’s hands for ourselves, - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine has proved that Russia can be stopped and rejected.
The head of state said this at a press conference after talks with Lithuanian President Nausėda in Vilnius, Censor.NET reports.
"We are all unlucky to have such an inadequate neighbour. We have Lithuania. It brings misery and enslavement. But we will never again become hostages of geography and will not allow Russia to destroy either our or your statehood. Because we are together and we unite others to have sufficient joint strength," the president said.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine has proved that Russia can be stopped and rejected.
"The task now is to prove that we can wrest peace from Russia's hands for ourselves. The kind of peace we want. The kind of peace we want. And the security for our people that we need. Reliable security," the Head of State said.
