Government should not make mistakes that it did before full-scale invasion. Funding for army should be increased – Poroshenko

Petro Poroshenko, the fifth president and leader of the EU, said that the parliament should increase funding for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the political party.
"There is no doubt that the third year of the war will be more difficult than the previous two. This is the bitter truth of life, which we must learn to speak to our own people. It is far from the sweet lies of the telethon such as "coffee in Yalta" and "end of the war in the summer". These lies completely demotivate the Ukrainian people and prevent mobilization.
The position of our faction is not to repeat the mistakes you made before the war, when you did not put our bills to vote for six months to strengthen defense capabilities and increase funding for the army. Now we demand that you immediately put up and consider: first, the draft law on Russia's "fifth" column, the Moscow Church. Secondly, we must immediately stop the attempt to confront the military and the military-political leadership of the state. To do this, we need to consider a draft law on the appointment and dismissal of commanders with the approval of the Commander-in-Chief. He is responsible for this, but he has no influence," he said.
The fifth president emphasized that the "ES" (European Solidarity - ed. note) demands to simplify the procedure for granting the war veteran status.
"We demand that 30% of the brigades' personal income tax be returned to the brigades' accounts. We demand the creation of a provisional investigatory commission on fortifications because the absence of construction is a crime," Poroshenko said.
According to the leader of the European Solidarity party, the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada should also immediately lift the ban on broadcasting the Verkhovna Rada sessions, the ban on broadcasting the meetings of the conciliation board and allow journalists to enter the Rada hall.
"The parliamentary leadership must cancel the disgusting and illegal orders to block deputies' departures and the formation of permanent delegations to inter-parliamentary associations. This is a criminal offense - obstruction of interparliamentary diplomacy. And highhandedness will never win over diplomacy," the fifth President summarized.
