Return of draft law on mobilization is position of all political forces, government and military leadership – Stefanchuk
Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk said that the decision to return the draft law on mobilization to the Cabinet was a joint one.
He announced this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Today, the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representatives of parliamentary factions and groups, and heads of committees had the opportunity to discuss with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Shaptala the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improving Certain Issues of Mobilization, Military Registration and Military Service" (Reg. No. 10378).
Important discussion, important questions, important answers. Prior to that, the draft law was worked on and considered by the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. There are a number of developments and recommendations," the statement said.
According to the speaker, it was decided to send all the recommendations and proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
"I would like to emphasize that this is a common position of all political forces, government representatives and military leadership," Stefanchuk concluded.
As reported earlier, the draft law on mobilization is being returned to the Cabinet of Ministers along with the developed proposals.
