Zelenskyy in Estonian parliament: Europe will survive if it will be united and have its own defense potential

Europe will survive only if it is united and has its own defense potential, which needs to be developed today.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at a special plenary session of the Estonian Parliament, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"We must always defend the fundamental European truth: Europe will survive only when it is a continent of unity, not disputes, unity, not national egoism, unity, not conflicting ambitions. During these two years of war, we have all demonstrated the highest level of unity that must be preserved in the future," the President emphasized.
He also noted that today it is extremely important that every defense production that is or can be created in Europe and can help Europe defend freedom should work at 100 percent.
"This is our common vital interest of every European nation: Europe needs its own defense capabilities to protect it," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, Ukraine has already reached dozens of agreements with different countries and different companies on joint defense production. The President invited Estonia to such cooperation, noting that Estonia has already made significant progress in the development of digital technologies, the latest response system and corporate work, and therefore it is very important to share this experience with other countries in Europe.
The President also called on all countries in Europe to continue to put pressure on Putin and block every scheme to circumvent sanctions that Russia uses.
In addition, according to Zelenskyy, every asset that Moscow or its associates have tried to hide in global jurisdictions should be frozen and used to protect against Russian aggression and to help rebuild after this war.
Zelenskyy emphasized that February 24 has a symbolic meaning for both Estonia and Ukraine: Estonia celebrates its Independence Day, and Ukraine decided to fight for its freedom on this day.
"We did not make a mistake on February 24. We all did. Our people, our friends, the entire free world. Ukraine decided then: we will fight. The free nations of the world supported us. Some of them supported us immediately, like Estonia, and I am grateful to you for that, others later, and we appreciate that too. And now, most of the world is somehow on the side of Ukraine, international law and against Russian genocidal aggression," Zelenskyy emphasized.
According to him, February 24 could have changed the history of our Ukrainian people, our region, and our entire Europe in the direction of new enslavement. But history took a turn toward far greater freedom than we all had, toward far greater independence than we could have expected at the time, toward far greater European strength than anyone could have predicted.
"This happened because of courage, because of solidarity, because of the choice in favor of freedom. Now we have to win this battle. We have to win it, not only because it is a battle for our lives, not only because it decides the fate of our state and all the countries and peoples who had to border Russia. This battle decides what the global attitude to freedom will be like now, and after us, and after our children, and after our grandchildren. Freedom must be able to win in confrontations unleashed by tyranny. And that is why this war that Russia has started against Ukraine is important not only for us and not only for our continent, but for all nations that value their freedom or dream of becoming free. Tyranny must lose, tyranny must always be a loser," the Head of State emphasized.
