86 combat engagements took place over last day, 31 enemy attacks were repelled in Avdiivka direction and 30 in Lyman direction – General Staff of AFU

"The 691st day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against our country is ongoing. The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. There were 86 combat engagements over the last day.
In total, the enemy launched 1 missile and 31 air strikes, fired 51 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there were wounded among the civilian population as a result of Russian terrorist attacks. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas. The enemy launched an air strike near the village of Vesele in the Kharkiv region. More than 30 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Leonivka and Hremiach in Chernihiv region; Atynske, Basivka, Zapsillia, Stepok, Hrabovske, Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region; Huriv Kozachok, Kozacha Lopan, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Okhrimivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve its tactical position. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, our defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks near Terny, Yampolivka, Torske in the Donetsk region, and another 18 attacks in the areas of Serebrianskyi forestry, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamianske in the Donetsk region. Here, the occupiers, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops. About 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike near Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka and New York in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 15 attacks in the areas of Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. Here, the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical situation. In addition, the enemy launched an air strike near the town of Oleksandropil in the Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Semenivka, Lastochkyne, Karlivka, Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. In this area, the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops 11 times. The occupants' artillery and mortar fire came under attack in Hostre, Kurakhove, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka and Yelizavetivka.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. He carried out an air strike near the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region. He fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Vremivka, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repelled two attacks west of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain the lost position. The enemy launched an air strike near Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Novodarivka, Poltavka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa OSG, in the Kherson direction, the enemy shelled the regional center of Kherson region and the areas of Beryslav, Tomaryne, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Stanislav in Kherson region and Dniprovske and Solonchaky in Mykolaiv region.
The enemy does not abandon its intention to drive our units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, during the day, the enemy made one unsuccessful assault on the positions of our troops.
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 22 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 1 enemy anti-aircraft missile system. Missile troops struck at the area of concentration of personnel, 3 artillery pieces and 2 enemy radar stations," the General Staff said.
