France to supply Ukraine with up to 50 AASM aerial bombs per month until end of 2024 - Defense Minister Lecornu

France plans to supply Ukraine with up to 50 AASM bombs per month until the end of this year. The country will also increase supplies of artillery ammunition.
As Censor.NET reports, this was stated by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu in an interview with Le Figaro.
According to him, France will provide Ukraine with about 50 aerial bombs starting in January 2024, and the supplies will last at least until the end of the year. These are AASM bombs.
In addition, the French Defense Minister announced an increase in supplies of artillery ammunition to 3,000 shells per month.
"In the period from February 2022 till the end of 2023, France supplied 2,000 shells per month to Ukraine, and since January - 3,000 shells per month," Lecornu said.
At the same time, he denied that the Russians had seized the initiative at the front, adding that Moscow would not win the war against Ukraine.
The French defense minister emphasized that the Russian army's successes are limited to "two kilometers gnawed here and taken back."
"The counteroffensive did not work the way we wanted it to, but this does not give Putin an advantage," Lecornu summarized.
