Russia has put another A-50 into service, but it’s flying much further from front line - British intelligence
After the loss of the A-50 reconnaissance aircraft, on January 17, the Russian Air Force began operating another A-50 near the Krasnodar region.
As Censor.NET informs, this is stated in the daily report of British intelligence.
The new A-50 aircraft is operated only over land in Russia in the Krasnodar region, further east of Ukraine.
"This activity shows a reduced risk appetite for aircraft and an attempt to preserve the remaining A-50 with a loss of its overall effectiveness over Ukraine," the statement said.
British intelligence points out that there is still no official statement from Russia. And this probably shows the Russian Federation's tacit recognition of the successful Defence Intelligence's operation.
It will be recalled that earlier the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny confirmed the destruction of the Russian A-50 anti-aircraft missile defense aircraft and the Il-22 air control center of the enemy.
