Businessman Mazepa detained for complaints about corruption and law enforcement pressure on business – Bloomberg

According to Censor.NET, Bloomberg reports.
"Ukrainian authorities detained the investment banker as part of an investigation into a real estate project, but his company said the detention was retaliation for his complaints about law enforcement pressure on the business...
Mazepa is an outspoken critic of law enforcement and judges, accusing some of them of corruption and abuse of power. He suggested that business leaders unite to create a blacklist of corrupt officials," the newspaper writes.
Earlier it was reported that the State Bureau of Investigation detained Ukrainian businessman, founder of the investment company Concorde Capital, Ihor Mazepa on January 18 while he was crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border.
Subsequently, law enforcement officers reported that Mazepa was suspected of creating a criminal organization and seizing 7 hectares of land near the Kyiv hydroelectric power plant.
Mazepa later commented on his detention.
