Yurchyshyn asks to check effectiveness of using funds for information policy

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech Yaroslav Yurchyshyn (Holos) appealed to the Accounting Chamber and the State Audit Service regarding the effectiveness of using state funds for information policy in 2022-2023.
He said this in a comment to Ukrinform, Censor.NET reports.
"Thus, deputy appeals to the Accounting Chamber and the State Audit Service on the effectiveness of the use of funds for information policy in 2022-2023 have already been sent. Currently, we have interim answers, which state that the financial audit of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting is scheduled to be conducted in 2024," Yurchyshyn said.
He emphasized that conclusions about the effectiveness of the use of public funds for information policy could be drawn on the basis of the reports received.
As reported, the State Budget of Ukraine for 2024 provides for UAH 10.2 billion to finance culture and media.
