Countries of European Union should contribute to 1 million shells for Ukraine - Minister of Defense of Estonia Pevkur
Censor.NET transmits the statement of Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur with reference to ERR.
"We recognize that this is a very difficult process. We will continue to bend our line. We will go to Brussels next week with the message that the countries should make their contribution," he said.
According to the minister's information, approximately one-third of the goal regarding shells for Ukraine has already been achieved, one-third - commitments have already been made, and one-third - what still needs to be done.
"Now it is necessary to reach an agreement at the political level: will we take ammunition from our stockpiles or not, and if the countries do not find enough shells, then will they have to allocate funds to purchase the necessary shells that will be sent to Ukraine," added Pevkur.
