The commander of the Lithuanian army, Valdemaras Rupshis, believes that the probability of military action between Russia and NATO in 2025 is extremely low. Moscow does not have the means to start a war against the Alliance.
As Censor.NET informs, Rupshis said this on the air of radio Žinių radijas.
"This year, next year, the probability or probability of a war between Russia and NATO is very low, extremely low," the commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces said.
According to him, the Russian Federation does not have such opportunities to start a war with NATO, "it is impossible."
Rupshis also criticized Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis, who previously said that "a real war is quite possible," noting that "he is not qualified enough to give military advice."
At the same time, Rupshis noted that in the event of "a change in the relevant conditions, a change in the security situation is also possible."
"In any case, Lithuania should prepare for a possible conflict. I am more concerned about possible conflicts not only in Europe but also in other parts of the world, which could lead to a larger-scale war," added the commander of the Lithuanian army.
