Coal export from ATO area via Russia has been agreed, three routs possible, - Energy Minister Demchyshyn

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has agreed upon coal export from the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area through the territory of Russia.

This was announced by Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"We were talking about coal export from the ATO area via Russia. The issue was voted in favor of today," he said.

According to Demchyshyn, the agreed scheme of coal export via Russia provides for supply of coal not to the Luhansk thermal power plant (TPP) as before, but to TMPs that operate within the Unified Energy System of Ukraine.

He added that three routs are being discussed, from 10 to 300 km long.
