Consequences of drone attack on Odesa: 1 dead, 3 injured, apartment completely destroyed. PHOTOS
The enemy once again launched an insidious night attack on southern Ukraine. The Shahed-131/136 UAVs, launched from the Black Sea, carried out complex manoeuvres over coastal settlements and inland to the central regions.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Southern Defence Forces.
Air defense units shot down 12 kamikaze drones in the southern operational zone:
2 over the Mykolaiv region, 5 over the Kirovohrad and Odesa regions.
"One of the downed drones crashed into a residential neighborhood in Odesa, causing destruction and a fire in a typical Odesa courtyard. Although the fire was quickly extinguished, one of the apartments was completely destroyed. The owner died there, and rescuers managed to get his wife out of the rubble, she was hospitalized in serious condition. Two other residents of the neighboring apartment were taken to hospital with burns and other injuries," the statement said.
Alongside the drones, the enemy also used Kh-59 guided missiles from a tactical aircraft from the Sea of Azov. Two missiles were destroyed by air defense forces in the Kirovohrad region. The fate of the aircraft is being investigated.
According to the updated data as of 07.00 a.m., one of the missiles was shot down in Mykolaiv region," the Southern Defence Forces added.
