PGO insists one of District State Administration heads-grafters to be arrested without right to bail

Prosecutor General's Office intends to appeal to the court to arrest without right to bail Chairman of Hola Prystan District State Administration in the Kherson region Oleksandr Bohunenko suspected of receiving bribes.

Deputy Prosecutor General Yurii Stoliarchuk said at a briefing, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.

He said that the head of the District State Administration and his accomplice were served notice of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of the Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (receipt of unlawful benefits) on Thursday.

Prosecutor General's Office also appealed to the court to remand suspects into custody.

"In this case, we believe that there will be no such right (to bail) granted. We will demand both suspects to be remand into custody without right to bail," Stoliarchuk said.

He also noted that the investigation was underway while the officials of the Kherson Regional State Administration were also suspected to be involved in the crime.
