"We are setting Nadiya up for guilty verdict and 25 years of imprisonment. We will prove her innocence procedurally but she will be sentenced regardless of this," – Savchenko’s lawyer

Moscow lawyer of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko Mark Feigin considers her conviction to be a done deal.

Feigin said that the evidence of Savchenko's innocence is irrelevant for the Russian court. Savchenko is likely to be found guilty and will be sentenced to 25 years in prison, Censor.NET reports citing BBC Ukraine.

The lawyer said that her release is possible only under international pressure and political arrangements.
