Ukraine did not use foreign weapons during attacks on targets in Tatarstan - DIU

No foreign-made weapons were used in the drone strikes on targets in the cities of Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk in Russia’s Tatarstan.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov, in a commentary to Radio Liberty.
"We will neither officially confirm nor deny it. But we can see that the noise and clatter on the territory of the aggressor state continues, and it continues at military facilities that are directly involved in Russia's genocidal war against Ukraine. We can state that foreign-made weapons and munitions of our partners are not used in these events. This is a fact," he said.
The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine did not specify what exactly could have hit the objects on the territory of the Russian Federation, which are located at a distance of more than 1,000 kilometres from Ukraine, but noted that the Ukrainian drone industry is "developing very dynamically".
"All the modern technologies available in the world are used to improve Ukrainian munitions. In terms of distance, autonomy and accuracy. Yes, we are working on all this. And modern technologies are used there. When we have the opportunity, we will be able to see and discuss all this in more detail. When we had the opportunity to show the Magura V5 (Ukrainian multi-purpose surface unmanned boat - ed.), the world actually saw it in detail and up close. So far, additional information on this topic is, let's say, undesirable for security reasons," Yusov said.
The DIU also confirmed that one of the affected facilities in Tatarstan had a production facility "for the assembly of Shaheds and Geraniums." According to Yusov, one of the buildings next to the enterprise was hit by Russian air defence.
"An interesting point is that part of the destruction of other neighbouring facilities was the result of Russian so-called air defence, anti-missile defence. This is not the first time. Trying to shoot down some other targets, they usually harm themselves the most," the DIU representative added.
Attack on the Shahedi factory in Tatarstan
Earlier, Russian media reported that on the morning of 2 April, a drone attacked an oil refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan.
The long-range drone attack on the oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Russia, was an operation of the DIU and the SSU. The attacked refinery is one of the five largest oil refineries in Russia.
