The Security Service and the National Police have identified and collected evidence on 26 more collaborators who joined the invaders’ "main department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kherson region."

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press centre.

In the ranks of the pseudo-institution, they were included in a criminal organization called the Kakhovskyi Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Six of the defendants held "senior positions" there. The rest were assigned to the units of "investigation, criminal investigation, personnel and duty unit".

"Being in the ranks of the occupation body, the collaborators participate in mass repressions against local residents to break their resistance to the aggressor.

According to the investigation, the defendants, under the direction of the FSB, tried to disperse pro-Ukrainian rallies of Kakhovka residents," the SSU said.

During such "raids," the ruscists kidnapped people and imprisoned them in Russian torture chambers on the left bank of the Kherson region.

The victims were subjected to brutal torture in prisons, hoping to persuade them to cooperate with the occupiers.

The perpetrators also broke into the homes of Ukrainian patriots and, under the guise of "searches," stole private property, including money and cars.

In addition, the collaborators were involved in the protection of "election commissions" during fake plebiscites in the temporarily occupied part of the region.

The SSU and the National Police collected all the identifying data on each of the defendants, documented their criminal activities and established their main locations.

Based on the evidence collected, the SSU investigators served the offenders suspicion notices in absentia under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

- part 1, 2, Art. 255 (creation, management of a criminal organization, as well as participation in it);

- part 2, 3, Art. 27 and part 5, 7, Art. 111-1 (collaboration activities committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons);

- part 2, 3, Art. 27, part 2, Art. 127 (torture);
