Shmyhal instructed to prepare "fairer" regulation on mobilization reservations: "To avoid any questions"

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal instructed the relevant ministries to introduce an updated and fairer regulation on reservations for persons liable for military service, as well as to determine an exhaustive list of critical infrastructure facilities and enterprises.
He said this during a government meeting on April 9, Censor.NET reports.
"Defense is the number one priority. Every week we make decisions that strengthen our state. At the same time, we realize that effective defense is a synergy of efforts of the front and rear. Our military defend Ukraine on the front line, but to support them, we need a functioning economy and infrastructure," Shmyhal said.
According to him, one of the key issues in this area is a fair and rational reservation of employees liable for military service in enterprises that are really critical.
"There should be no speculation or manipulation here. Therefore, I instruct the relevant ministries to introduce an updated, fairer resolution on reservation in the near future and determine an exhaustive list of critical infrastructure facilities and enterprises," the Prime Minister said.
Shmyhal emphasized that clear and understandable criteria are needed so that "neither the military nor the public have any questions about why certain people are reserved in our country."
According to the Law "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization," persons liable for military service who work at enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critical to the functioning of the economy and the livelihoods of the population during a special period are subject to reservation.
At the same time, the procedure for booking during martial law stipulates that the number of booked events should be up to 50% of the number of enterprises, institutions and organizations liable for military service.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture confirmed the status of TV channels participating in the United News telethon as critical to the economy. Their employees have deferred mobilization. The Ministry of Culture has also granted this status to the state-owned enterprise Travelling Circus of Ukraine.
In addition, the Ministry of Youth and Sports recognized the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), as well as football clubs Kryvbas, Dnipro-1, Dynamo Kyiv, Obolon and Shakhtar as critical.
