The next meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defence (Ramstein format) will take place at the end of this week.

According to Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine, this was reported by Dutch Defence Minister Keesa Ollongren before a joint meeting of EU foreign and defence ministers in Luxembourg on Monday.

"This is an important week, we saw the approval (of aid to Ukraine - Ed.) in the US House of Representatives this weekend, we had a NATO meeting on Friday, we have this meeting today, and at the end of the week we have the Ramstein meeting. So it's an important week," she said.

According to Ollongren, today everyone must step up their efforts to help Ukraine.

"We need action, but sometimes to get action, we need to talk, and that's what we intend to do," she added.

Ollongren noted that today's meeting will focus on the situation in Ukraine, especially on how to speed up the delivery of ammunition and air defence equipment.

"We are doing a lot of things, but I think what we can focus on even more is speeding up the supply," she said.

The minister stressed that the Netherlands is involved in many initiatives to support Ukraine militarily, and also helps to speed up the actual delivery of weapons because they are needed "today, not tomorrow".

"Now we are all exploring opportunities and seeing if we can join forces and provide additional systems... We know exactly what we have in our stockpiles, but it takes time and cooperation to find a way to deliver it," explained Ollongren.
