Hungary is only EU country not to sign statement condemning Russia in UN Security Council

Hungary has become the only country in the European Union that has not signed the joint statement of fifty states condemning Russia in the UN Security Council.
This is evidenced by a list published on Facebook by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN Serhii Kyslytsia, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that on Tuesday, July 16, Russia convened the UN Security Council on "Multilateral cooperation for a more just, democratic and sustainable world order." In this way, the aggressor country is trying to divert the attention of the international community from Moscow's blatant violations of the UN Charter and its abuses in the Security Council.
A joint statement by five dozen countries said that the topic of the debate is another vivid demonstration of Russia's hypocrisy against the backdrop of its brutal war of aggression against Ukraine. The only EU country not to sign the statement was Hungary.
According to Ukrinform, the meeting is chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Among the members of the Security Council, only Switzerland is represented at the ministerial level. Among the non-members of the Security Council, in addition to Hungary, Iran, Libya, and Kuwait delegated their ministers. Belarus and Thailand are represented at the level of deputy ministers.
