The Czech Republic will allocate more than $21 million for humanitarian support, development, and economic assistance to Ukraine.

According to Censor.NET, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"Last year, we allocated 500 million kroons (over $21 million) for projects within the framework of humanitarian and economic assistance and for the development of Ukraine. For example, our state contributed to the demining of war-affected agricultural areas in Kharkiv, Kherson, and Sumy regions," he said.

Fiala also said that this year the Czech Republic will also provide Ukraine with humanitarian, development and economic assistance worth 500 million CZK (over $21 million).

"About half of this amount has already been spent in the first six months of this year. Czech firms will supply, for example, water treatment plants and equipment for surgical rooms or rehabilitation centers in the Dnipropetrovsk region," he said.

Fiala also noted that Czech companies have been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Already in the first year, they began to establish contacts with new partners.

As reported earlier, the Czech Republic is preparing to launch a second initiative to supply ammunition to Ukraine. The working title of this project is Initiative 2025.
