Borrell calls for urgent provision of more air defence and weapons to Ukraine after massive Russian drone attack on Kyiv
The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has called for increased military assistance to Kyiv, including more air defense equipment, after Russia attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones at night and in the morning of July 31.
He wrote about this on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.
The EU's chief diplomat noted that Ukraine is surviving daily Russian attacks "with admirable resilience" aimed at destroying people and key infrastructure.
Borrell emphasized that Ukraine is now in need of more air defense equipment and military hardware.
"But Ukrainians need help. The immediate provision of more air defense equipment and military hardware is extremely important," the head of European diplomacy said in a statement.
Earlier, the Air Force reported that on the night of July 31, the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 89 attack UAVs, all targets were destroyed.
As it turned out later, the occupiers launched many attack UAVs without warheads at Ukraine to deplete air defense systems.
