Explosion outside Rivne region prosecutor's office determined terrorist attack, - PGO
The explosive device planted by unknown individuals detonated near the building of the prosecutor's office of Rivne region today Sept. 4 at about 1:30 a.m. The Prosecutor Generals' Office has determined the incident as a terrorist attack.
No one was hurt as a result of the crime. Facade elements and windows of the building of the prosecutor's office were damaged, Censor.NET informs citing the Prosecutor Generals' Office press service.
Rivne police investigators have registered the incident in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations under Part 1 of the Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terroristic act).
The investigation aimed at establishing of all the circumstances of the criminal offense is being conducted within this criminal case. Fragments of the explosive device, which will help the experts to determine its type, have been recovered at the scene.
Rivne city prosecutors' office carries out procedures in this case.
The progress of pre-trial investigation is monitored by the prosecutor's office of the Rivne region.
